Air access to Fano:

Getting to Fano has become simple due to local airports Ancona, Rimini and Bologna offering a choice of airlines including Ryanair who fly from the UK & Ireland along with other EU destinations via Alitalia and Lufthansa. Suggested route: From Ancona airport take the airport bus to the train station in Ancona and from there take a train to Fano (about 40 minutes).

Train access to Fano:

It is possible to travel to Fano by train via Trenitalia because Fano train station connects Bologna with Rimini and Ancona. There are frequent trains that travel along this stunning coastal route which means Fano is easy to access via public transport. There are numerous types of trains on this route and we advise all visitors to buy the correct train ticket relevant to the service and class you want book. As an example there are regional trains called "Regionali" which stop off more then any other train meaning the overall journey is slower but is cheaper in train fares compared to Eurostar Italia and Intercity service trains. On average train journey time between Ancona & Fano on a "Regionali" would be approximately 40 minutes covering 6 train stations in total.

From Florence: Take Lungarno Soderini, SS67, Via del Sansovino, Via F. Talenti and Viale Etruria to SGC Firenze - Pisa - Livorno. Take A1/E35, Variante di Valico, A1/E35, E45 and E55 to Viale Liberazione in Fano. Take Via Papiria and Via 4 Novembre to Via Monte Grappa
